The program setting of heat treatment modes including vacuuming, high purity inert gas intake with repeated vacuuming allows heating in an oxidizing environment with high purity of the surfaces of the processed parts, without scale formation and oxidation.

The AVD-50/5 unit consists of a NVD-200 series-connected two-rotor vacuum pump and a 2NVR-5DM plate-rotor vacuum pump. 2NVR-5DM and NVD-200 pumps are installed on the lower and upper base of the frame and secured with bolts, nuts and washers. The pumps are connected to each other by means of a pipeline and a bellows assembly. By installing the rings during assembly of the unit, the size of the bellows assembly is set. The AVD-50/5 unit can operate continuously at an inlet pressure of no more than 133 Pa (1 mm Hg) or pumping out one or more sealed vessels with a total volume of 3.5 m3 from atmospheric to maximum residual pressure for 8 hours.
